Dear Well wishers and Sri Paranthaman Panchangam Abhimanis,
2013-2014 - Sri Vijaya year Sri Paranthaman Panchangam is under preparation. Everything completed except 'Dhina Veshams' in which different of opinions will araise always like Upakarma Dates, Diwali, Sri Jayanthi Dates etc. Comparison will be done with all other major panchangams and will be released immediately.
We are expecting sponsors to meet out the making charges of the panchangams.
So for we have received only about Rs.5000 as donation.
Minimum Rs.45,000 is required to print the minimum copies, so we are waiting.
Printing will be done only after getting reasonable amount of donations.

Lord Parashurama's story has been covered in greater detail in two Puranas - Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Brahmanda Purana, though fleeting references may be there in other puranas and Itihasas.
    There are very few temples dedicated to Lord Parashurama. The most important temple is Thiruvallam near Kovalam Beach, Trivandrum, Kerala. I had been to this temple a few years ago and even enquired the main Archakar about Parashurama Ashtottaram/Sahasranama - he mentioned that they use the normal Vishnu Sahasranama and he was not aware of any specific Ashtottaram/Sahasranama on Lord Parashurama. So, one can understand how rare the attached Sahasranama is.
    There also seem to be a few other temples http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parashurama.
    It is believed that most of the Keralite temples follow the procedures prescribed in Parashurama Kalpa.
    In astrology, Parashurama is associated with Venus and Parasurama worship is prescribed for Venus afflictions (Lord Ranganatha of Srirangam is also associated with Venus, though I don't know the astrological reason).

'நான் கூறியது யாவையும் ஆராய்ந்து பிறகு உன் விருப்பப்படி செயல்படு' என்கிறார் பகவான் கிருஷ்ணன். அர்ச்சுனன் மீது அவர் எதையும் திணிக்கவில்லை (பகவத் கீதை 19.63). சுயமரியாதை உள்ளவர்கள் சொந்தம் கொண்டாட வேண்டிய நூல் இது. அறிவைக் கொண்டு அனுபவத்தைச் சோதிக்கச் சொல்லும் பகுதிகள் சமஸ்க்ருதத்தில் ஏராளம்.

'இந்திய மொழிகளிலேலே நாத்திகம் தொடர்பான கருத்துக்களை அதிகமாகக் கொண்டிருப்பது சம்ஸ்க்ருதம் தான்' என்கிறார் நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற அறிஞர் அமர்த்யாசென்.

'பகுத்தறிவோடு பொருந்தாத அறிவுரைகளை முனிவர்கள் கூறினாலும் பகுத்தறிவாளர்கள் ஏற்கவேண்டியதில்லை. அறிவோடு பொருந்தும் வாசகங்களை பாமரர்கள் கூறினாலும் அவர்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளலாம்' என்கிறது யோகவாசிட்டம் என்ற நூல் (11.18.2.3).

பகவத் கீதைக்கு உரை எழுதிய ஆதிசங்கரர் 'நெருப்பு சுடாது என்று நூறு முறை வேதத்தில் சொன்னாலும் அதை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ள வேண்டாம்; அனுபவம் தான் பிரமாணம் என்கிறார்'.

இதுதான் நேர்மையான பகுத்தறிவு. தமிழகத்து அரசியல்வாதிகளில் சிலர் ரம்ஜான் கஞ்சி குடித்துவிட்டு ஹிந்துக்களை இழிவுபடுத்தும் விதமாகப் பேசுகிறார்களே அது பகுத்தறிவு அல்ல; 'சேம்சைட் கோல்'.
