தானே' தானாக வந்ததல்ல... மியான்மர் தந்தது
கடலில் உருவாகும் புயல்களுக்குப் பெயர் வைக்கும் வழக்கத்தை ஆரம்பித்தவர்கள் ஆஸ்திரேலியர்கள்தான். இதுவும் சமீபத்தில் அல்ல, அரை நூற்றாண்டுக்கு முன்பே இந்த வழக்கத்தை ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டார்கள்.ஏதோ பெருமைக்காக இந்தப் பெயரை அவர்கள் சூட்டவில்லை. தங்களுக்குப் பிடிக்காத அரசியல் தலைவர்களின் பெயர்களை பேரழிவின் சின்னமாக உருவகப்படுத்த இப்படி பெயர் வைக்க ஆரம்பித்தார்களாம்.1950ம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து இந்த வழக்கத்தை சுவீகரித்துக் கொண்டது அமெரிக்கா.ஆளாளுக்கு பெயர் சூட்டுவதைத் தடுக்க, சர்வதேச வானிலை ஆய்வு நிறுவனம், கடலில் உருவாகும் புயல்களுக்கு பெயர் சூட்டுவதை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தியது. அதன்படி ஒவ்வொரு பிராந்தியத்திலும் நாடுகள் ஒன்றிணைந்து புயல்களுக்கு பெயர் வைக்கும் முறை ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது.அந்த வகையில் வங்கக்கடல் மற்றும் அரபிக்கடலில் உருவாகும் புயல்களுக்கு இந்திய பிராந்தியத்தில் உள்ள நாடுகள் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து பெயர் வைக்க தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டது.இந்த பிராந்தியத்தில் இந்தியா, பாகிஸ்தான், இலங்கை, வங்கதேசம், மாலத்தீவு, மியான்மர், ஏமன், தாய்லாந்து ஆகிய 8 நாடுகள் உறுப்பினர்களாக உள்ளன. வங்கக்கடல், அரபிக்கடலில் உருவாகும் புயல்களுக்கு என்ன பெயர் வைக்கலாம் என்பதை இந்த 8 நாடுகளும் பட்டியலாக தயாரித்து கொடுத்துள்ளன. அந்த பட்டியலில் உள்ள பெயர்கள்தான் ஒவ்வொன்றாக புயல்களுக்கு சூட்டப்படுகின்றன.2004- முதல்....கடந்த 2004-ம் ஆண்டு முதல் வங்கக்கடல் புயல்களுக்கு இப்படி பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. கடந்த ஆண்டு 5 தடவை புயல் ஏற்பட்டது. அந்த புயல்களுக்கு பட்டியலில் உள்ள வரிசைப்படி லைலா, பந்த், பெட், கிரி, ஜல் என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டன. இதில் லைலா பெயரை பாகிஸ்தான், பந்த் பெயரை இலங்கை, பெட் பெயரை தாய்லாந்து, கிரி பெயரை வங்கதேசம், ஜல் பெயரை இந்தியா தேர்வு செய்து கொடுத்திருந்தன. இதில் லைலா, ஜல் இரு புயல்களும் பெரிய பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தின.2011-ம் ஆண்டு நடப்பு சீசனில் கடந்த அக்டோபர் மாதம்தான் முதல் புயல் தோன்றியது. அந்த புயலுக்கு மாலத்தீவு நாடு தேர்வு செய்து கொடுத்திருந்த கெய்லா என்ற பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டது. இதையடுத்து இந்த ஆண்டு இரண்டாவதாக தற்போதைய புயல் தமிழ்நாட்டை குறி வைத்து தாக்கியது. இந்த புயலுக்கு பட்டியலில் உள்ள பெயர்களில் இருந்துதான் 'தானே' என்ற பெயர் தேர்வு செய்து சூட்டியுள்ளது.இந்த தானே பெயரை வழங்கியது மியான்மர் (பர்மா). மியான்மர் நாட்டின் ஜோதிடவியல் நிபுணர் மின் தானே கா பெயரை குறிப்பிடும் வகையில் இந்த பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டுள்ளதாகக் கூறப்படுகிறது.இந்த வரிசையில் அடுத்து வரும் புயல்களின் பெயர்கள்...முர்ஜன் (ஓமன்), நீலம் (பாகிஸ்தான்), மகசென் (இலங்கை), பைலின் (தாய்லாந்து), ஹெலன் (வங்கதேசம்), லெகர் (இந்தியா)
